How this guide is funded, and who writes it

This guide recommends schools and coaching institutes to parents. You should know exactly how it makes money and where our interests are not neutral, so you can weigh what you read here accordingly.

The conflict you should know about first

Aglocom sells admissions and marketing services to schools and coaching institutes. Those are the same organisations this guide reviews. That business is what pays for the guide.

Nine Education, which appears in our coaching recommendations, is a related business. Nihanth Guntur ran the admissions operation there before founding Aglocom. So when you read Nine Education named alongside Narayana or Fiitjee, you are reading a recommendation from someone with a history there.

You may decide that makes us the wrong people to take a recommendation from. That is a fair conclusion to reach. We would rather you reached it knowing than not knowing.

What we do not do

No institute has paid for placement in any ranking, for a positive review, or for a higher position. We do not accept payment to add, remove, or reorder a listing, and we do not run paid listings anywhere on this guide.

We do not sell your phone number. When you submit an enquiry or complete the stream quiz, that information is used to contact you about your own question, not passed on to institutes as a lead.

How institutes are assessed

Assessments are based on publicly available information, direct enquiries made by our team, and the author's direct experience of the Hyderabad admissions market. Fees are collected by enquiry and change annually — always confirm with the institute before paying.

We do not claim to physically inspect every institute we mention. Any directory claiming to do that across a hundred cities is worth a second look. We cover Hyderabad only, which is the one city we have actually worked admissions in.

Who writes this

Nihanth Guntur operated the admissions team for one of Hyderabad's leading intermediate colleges and has counselled more than 2,000 students and parents through stream selection and institute choice. Every guide here is written or reviewed by him.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — a fee, a batch size, a result claim, or an assessment you believe is unfair — write to hello@aglocom.com. We will correct factual errors and say what changed. Institutes are welcome to contest an assessment; that does not entitle them to a better one.
